It was honestly the best game of rugby for the weekend. Despite the rain bringing it more into the realm of a forwards focused game plan it still beat the pants off the horribly disjointed game that was South Africa v. Wales. SA looked like a bunch of high school kids, not like world champs at all! And the Fiji v. Barbarians was more of a demo game, felt bad for the Fijians in that one, the travel and jetlag showed. Congrats to the Blues on a very convincing and dominant win. Let's hope that Scott 'Razor' Robinson has the right mix of talent and game plan to dominate England in the same way next month!

Monday morning. Big day today. I enjoyed that win more than I can say. I wasn't all excited or anything but I have a lot of admiration for the guys. The ABs team .... yes I think Plummer has done more than enough, will he get in .... who can say. I do hope so though.

To be fair south africa looked awful most of that game. 1 try scored from a massive forward pass. Welsh gets a yellow card when clarely it was shoulder to shoulder. He should not have even been penalised. The south african reserve hooker then flies in carelessly and goes hed on hed and doesnt even get sinbinned when he really should have been sent and upgraded to red. Springbox seem to be getting away with shots to the head when the other team doesnt. This decision making was alot like the world cup final. Have to be consistent guys and they are not. As for the fullback i remember when jordy barret got binned he went up and always had leg in air but came down and connected for a yellow but if you watch the SA fullback he goes upand is leg is down he looks at Taine and his leg then pushes out. That really should have been upgraded to red his leg definetly went out to the defender. I dont feel sorry for wales often but they were ripped off with the officiating today

When people say England are talking themselves up and saying ABs are there for the taking I don't think that's a fair representation of what is actually being said. Every critic I've seen voicing this rhetoric has also said that winning in NZ is incredibly difficult regardless and that England have a huge challenge ahead of them. I totally agree.. This is the best opportunity we've had to win matches in NZ for a long time, we've got some good form and we're going up against a new look ABs side but that doesn't mean we're expecting to win. We have absolute respect for the ABs and it's going to take a huge performance to win even one match let alone two.

I was 7 years old the last time we won it in 2003. So many years watched them as bottom of NZ conference and sometimes bottom of the table entirely. Then Leon Macdonald came and we started competing for the top again and wow Cotter first season first grand final win? Insane. Also Harry Plummer for the AB's now surely.
